You can't compare this laptop design with another laptop design even with the exact same CPU mainly due to heat dissipation issues and charger/battery power output limits. It is not unusual for ACER to limit boost capability to 80% of maximum CPU potential to protect the system. Jack E/NJ

im getting 2.4 to 2.6ghz max with 55 to 60 degree Celsius, is that usual?. I think thermal design is not the problem because when i checked its not thermal throttling, its power throttling..

Yes. The frequencies are limited to 2.7GHz max by design to limit power consumption and temperature increases beyond which reduces reliability and component life expectancy for this particular laptop design.  Jack E/NJ

so why does it advertised on the laptop itself as 1.6 to 3.4ghz if it doesn't goes beyond 2.7ghz? your saying that those are just for marketing scam?.. is there ather way to overcome or bypass those settings or is it on the hardware.

The BIOS firmware. Probably ways to mod it and/or overclock. But you'll likely void the warranty if you try and things go wrong. Jack E/NJ

how did you get the chipset and video driver?  install the drivers from acer support page.
i have had a situation like this but with ryzen processor. while drivers from windoes update only offers me only 2.5 ghz, video driver from acer support pege gave me full freq, up to 3.4 ghz.
