Hi,
want to upgrade my laptop Acer Aspire E5-575G-52DA with ram. Thinking to take Kingston HyperX and there is 3 types of choose. Need a help for that. So HyperX 2400MHz cl14, 2666MHz cl15 or 2933MHz cl17. Thinking to take 16GB(2x8GB). I have Intel I5-7200U. So question is which is better to take because price is not the same.

Now I have setup with 2 different brand, year and speed which is 1st Kingston with 2132MHz and 2nd 2134MHz and sometimes while playing games comes with freezes so think that its by ram? Anyways want to upgrade Ram Please help which would be better for me.

Thanks!

The ideal would be to maintain the standard of 2133.

  • Hi,
Memory speed recommended by Acer is 2133MHz and your CPU also supports this speed, so I would suggest you to stick to DDR4 2133MHz modules, HyperX 2400MHz may or may not work because of XPM profile, there's no settings available in BIOS to enable XPM profile.
You can install a DDR4 2400 memory modules but they may work at 2133MHz.

    Good Morning IceTone !

These series support 32GB of RAM (2 slots) by default So-DIMM DDR4 2133Mhz

The frequency of RAM is limited by the support of the processor and chipset controllers.
    In your case at 2133Mhz.
Your device does not have an XMP profile, so HyperX RAMs at that frequency will not work.

Ahh... understand. so better idea is to buy 2133MHz rather than 2400MHz? Or I can try to buy 2400MHz :D it could work and could not work?
