Ok peeps so I'm kinda confused. Please help.
I purchased x2 of these laptops last week one for me and one for the other half as we game together. So both brought on the same day exactly the same specs , 8gb ram - 237 gb memory , Intel core i5 - Nvidia GeForce gtx. Both exactly the same.

Now my issue is this , I noticed the heating issue on mine straight away and after searching found out about undervolting. Great, I've dropped mine down which whilst gaming at ultra hitting the low 90's all the way down to a glorious 60-65 constant at high usage. Again great . So just went to do it on the other halfs and I've tried a few different links , even taken the exe externally from mine to hers and it won't load up , it either tells me a dll (?) file is missing or that the CPU is not supported ?? I'm really confused at this as they are exactly the same.

Downloaded on mine about 3 days ago , what's changed or happening? Any help would be wonderful , already lernt quite Abit from all the posts on the nitro 5 but this has stumpped me.

Try this Throttlestop custom Undervolt package designed by one of our hardline gamers, it is well tested, safe and very simple to use

Hmmm, it seems the operating system is missing the file. Refresh the Windows 10 operating system to recover the lost file, then try again

You can refresh the operating system on your Acer Windows 10 computer by pressing the Alt and F10 keys when the computer starts to boot up.

    1. Press and hold the Power key for 5 seconds to power the system off completely.
    2. Turn on the computer and immediately press the Alt and F10 keys at the same time
    3. You should see a message that says "Please Wait" and your computer will boot to a blue screen that says "Choose an option."
    4. Select Troubleshoot.
    5. Click Reset this PC.
    6. Pick the recovery option: Keep my files
    7. Click Next and follow the instructions on the screen.

Before I do this what is lost if I do this ? I'm quite good at knowing how to use computers , but I'm not great at the tech side. Also don't Wana end up in the dog house if she loses stuff she's put on 😂👍

I totally understand the dog house mate. When Keep Files is selected all personnel files, docs pics etc.. are kept, only downloaded programs such as games will need reinstalling

I best ask her then , as we play MMOs from clients and I'm guessing she won't want to have to download them all again 😐 why we got them to improve our gaming quality , this would annoy her 😂

Would there be a reason that all versions I try to download do this at all?  I mean hers does spin the fans up when it's hot but this has been such a good thing on mine I wanted to improve hers too. Just thinking if there's anything else I could do before having to do this. Already getting a computer mate to repaste and install a TB ssd.

Thank you for the help though. If it won't do it still I'll have to tell her this might be the only option

I'm not quite sure let me investigate further. Repasting with Grizzly Kryonaut is a great idea, Acer gaming laptops are good value for money but the stock paste is not good and many repaste new ones
