Acer Aspire V3-731 bad graphics?

I recently upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10, but now I have programs saying my graphics card is bad. Intel says I have no supported drivers when it scans my sysstem (My graphics card is Intel (R) HD).

Acer shows no Windows 10 drivers for my PC. I have uninstalled the graphics driver twice, and Windows has reinstalled it once I restart my PC. I attempted to manually update the driver, but I get the error "Computer does not meet minimum requirements for installing this software."

Is there a way to fix this, or should I just factory reset back to Windows 8?

    Update:

I recently upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10, but now I have programs saying my graphics card is bad. The exact message is "Unable to run because your video card drivers did not install properly, are out of date, or are for unsupported hardware. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers and even if you do have the latest drivers, try reinstalling them."

Intel says I have no supported drivers when it scans my system (My graphics card is Intel (R) HD).

What is the exact model Aspire V3-731 that you have? Please give us the exact specs of your laptop e.g. CPU, how much RAM have you got installed is it 8GB, as there are allot of variables to this problems.

Its very strange that your graphics don't work if you have installed the correct driver from Intel, as a wrong driver will not install, there must be something else wrong with your system.

It is the V3-731, but the labels are missing off of the computer and the system doesn't give me any additional details. The battery area says the model number is VA70.

The CPU says Intel Pentium B960 @ 2.2 GHz
    4 GB RAM
And the graphics card is Intel (R) HD, I'm not sure which generation.

This all started when I upgraded my system from Windows 8 to Windows 10 a couple weeks ago.

I haven't installed any drivers, personally. I uninstalled the drivers, and when the PC restarts they reinstall on their own. On Intel's site, I can have it detect what graphics and such, but Intel says there are no supported drivers on my PC. **Now it says it can't scan my PC**

I downloaded one of Intel's drivers for the HD graphic driver, but it gave the error "Computer does not meet minimum requirements for installing this software", so I guess it was the wrong driver.

    My driver version is 9.17.10.4459

There is no Windows 10 graphics driver --- it is a cpu with integrated graphics from 2011.

Yes its a circa 2011 Sandy Bridge Intel Pentium B960 CPU 2.20 GHz 2 cores, 2 threads, 2MB L3 cache, 35W TDP. Its got the integrated Intel® HD 2nd Generation Graphics. The 9.17.10.4459 should work, where did you get this driver from? Did this driver download through "Windows Update"? If it did then that is the latest windows driver for your graphics.

Also try the latest driver from Intel for your HD 2000/3000 graphics, its the v
15.28.24.64.4229 for Windows* 7 and Windows 8 or 8.1, 64-bit try to install this driver first (download from here and try this driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24971?product=59836) and see if this works better. This is very strange, as any of these drivers should work, there could be other things wrong with your system.

I've used the HD3000 on an Aspire 5750-2414 which was integrated in the i5-2410M and it worked perfectly. One other thing I would recommend is for you to upgrade the CPU to an i7 4 core 8 threads as it would substantially improve this laptop, as I did that to my Aspire 5750-2414 with an i7-2760QM 2.4 to 3.5GHz 6MB L3 and 45W TDP which should work perfectly, which is pretty cheap (and a great investment) and also make sure that you have 8GB RAM (I used the PC3-14900 fast RAM) and also installed an SSD drive and the thing was about 1000% faster and better for windows-10 than OEM.

You can also try installing that 64-bit 8.1 driver in compatibility mode, that often bypasses the problems when trying to install as W10 native.

I tried the 64 bit graphics in Compatibility mode, but the program I am having issues with says the same thing. I looked into it and the program doesn't function on HD 3000 graphics drivers, which is odd since I could run it on Windows 8 with no issues. Any suggestions?

Ixs it just the one app that's having problems? Is it the same version as was installed under 8? I wonder if it assumes you have newer hardware when running under W10 than it did under W8. You may need to install *it* in compatibility mode so it thinks it's still in 8...

It is just the one program. I tried to run it under the version I had with Wondows 8, then downloaded the updated version and got the same result. It is an online game, and most users said the game will not run on HD 3000 graphics, so I am not sure if Windows 10 had updated the graphics to a point the game cannot function, or what happened. Looks like I will be getting a new PC

Contact the game developers if you can to see if they know of the issue. They might very well tell you to get a newer PC, and as old as yours is that might be valid, but they also might not know that it works in W8 and doesn't in W10 on the same hardware.

I have the same machine. The acer download page should have drivers. Some time ago I tried intels driver update tool. No success and the tool caused my laptop to slow down. Uninstalled. It's always best to try to get the drivers from the manufacturers site
