COA label on the bottom is for vista basic, it installed vista home premium, so that does not match

This site tells about what happened to me without former knowledge that it was possible, except it installed Vista home premium, instead of Vista home basic, that is what the key on the bottom is for, so now I have a non genuine windows copy.

If your backup disks are putting the wrong OS on the comptuer, they may not be the right disks. You can purchace the right disks for your comptuer here: http://store.acer.com.

I have no disk. I was given what was supposed to be a Dead Soldier, an Aspire 5315 that would not stay on it just turned its self off within a few seconds. I ended up formatting it and was going to try to put XP Pro on it "still might" I inadvertently found that it could "reinstall the OS on its own" but it put on Vista Home Premium when it came with Vista Home Basic "KEY on bottom" won't work for Vista Home Premium that it "reinstalled" I Started it after I formated it and got this :Windows is loading files" ( no disk in the drive) I didn't know it could do that untill I read this

    Restoring the operating system

    How do I reinstall Windows?

If your software fails to respond or the system is infected with malware, please use the following steps:

    STEP A

Prior to reinstalling Windows, undo the changes that may cause the problems. Please, visit our knowledge base article Using System Restore in Windows XP, Vista and 7.

    STEP B

If the problem persists, use the recovery software to restore Windows to the original factory state:

    1. Make a backup of personal data, as the recovery process will erase all your files, such as email and photos.
    2. Power on your computer. When the Acer logo is displayed, press and hold the ALT key while pressing repeatedly the F10 key. Release the keys when a message displays that Windows is loading files.
    3. After the system recovery program has loaded follow the prompts to reinstall the operating system.
    4. In case the recovery software does not start, you need to use Recovery DVDs or CDs; please visit our knowledge base article Recovery using CDs or DVDs.

OK. I must have "tripped it's trigger" by formatting the partition that the operating system was on, the next time I started it, it did it's own thing. BUT that was not the problem, the problem was that it installed Vista Home Premium not Vista Home Basic. Now it says I have a "non genuine copy of windows" that the # on the bottom will not match.
