Sorry. That probably won't work with a passive USBC-to-HDMI adapter since it's specified as USBC DisplayPort output signal only. However, some laptops do come with dual mode DisplayPort capable converting to HDMI output signal with a passive cable. You can try it. Jack E/NJ

Turn machine off. Remove charger. Gently insert a paperclip into the reset pinhole on the bottom for about 10 seconds. Then plug the  charger back in and turn the machine on again. Jack E/NJ

It was working OK, and then from one day to another, this problem...
When I turned it on, the screen changes from OFF to BLACK, a slight shadow of light appears in the background if you look with attention

Do you have an external TV or monitor that supports displayport input? This is the only way we can test if your graphics adapter is still active. If not, it has to be opened up to reset the battery pack. Jack E/NJ

Yes I have, but with what output jack?  USB?  USB-C ?

USB-C should have displayport output. Also, can you make out any images on the screen using a flashlight? Jack E/NJ

    Flashlight???

  • ACE Posts: 45,201 Trailblazer
Yes flashlight. Battery-powered lantern. Linterna de bateria. Sometime black screens are caused by failure of the LCD's LED backlight. By shining a flashlight beam on the screen at a certain angle, you can sometimes see screen images from reflected light from the beam. If you see images, this would mean the graphics adapter and mainboard are OK but the LCD LED backlight may have failed.   Jack E/NJ

Do you have a USBC-to-DisplayPort adapter cable so we can check the graphics adapter on your DisplayPort monitor? They are inexpensive. Jack E/NJ

I can try to find it.
