Hi
I have just learned that my laptop has BIOS 1.22 VERION in which LEGACY boot option is disabled. Anyone knows which version of bios has possibility to enable legacy mode to downgrade?

Yes,I know about secure boot disabling etc,not a n00b. Just the version if you know.

Unfortunatelly all  versions are locked the only option left is to dump your BIOS, look at the variables settings and change it via grub/efi shell. Warning: You can brick your notebook by doing so!

Hi   I have learned that with some of the Bios you have to set a supervisor password before you can change the Boot mode from Legacy to UEFI or vice versa
Also after changing you need to restart into bios before changed settings become available

    Hope that helps

I take it those OS's don't have uefi vers.?   The only linux distro i can think of is linuxlite, but i guess there must be loads more (inc. beyond linux)! On your machine, they could be tested as VM's using Virtualbox or VMWare player if the bios thing hits a brick wall.

Look for nitro 5 in general, you will need an SPI-programmer in order to dump your bios.
