    Good evening Goefrey !

First question ... what is the REAL need to update Bios?
Second ... it is even possible even by other means ... just knowledge of how to do it.

I'm trying to solve errors related to BIOS. After each restart my boot log is full with errors. Sometimes I can't resume work state after sleep / hibernate mode.
I'm really deeply disappointed from Acer as company. Less than week my new laptop stopped to work properly. Bad design of BIOS / EFI /UEFI  It doesn't provide advanced useful options for configuration diagnostics and easy BIOS FLASH UPDATE without depending on Windows, DOS or whatever.
Also each time when I enter in my BIOS time clock is wrong.

Bad news it looks that it is not possible!

    I have found that.

FreeDOS 1.3 will not support UEFI-only systems. You will need to enable "legacy" or "compatibility" mode in your UEFI to emulate a BIOS.
