Hi everyone,

my laptop is plugged to the powersupply mostly the time and when I play a game, the % of the battery goes down, it is normal? It is my first gaming laptop and I don't think it is normal. Maybe the powersupply not deliver enough power? Maybe the powersupply has a defect?

Need your opinion, thanks.

It's normal for them to dip a bit when you are really hammering on them for a long period of time. I wouldn't worry unless it's dropping really low.

I played like 1 hour on Path of Exile and my battery went down from 100% to 60% do you think it is normal?

I have a question: what do you think about disassemble the laptop to access the battery and to disconnect it for keeping her alive because my laptop is plugged to the powersupply 100% of the time

Eeek, down to 60% seems excessive to me. From what I understand a drop to 90-95% is normal. I'm going to bow out and hope someone with more experience can chime in.

Hang in there, I'm sure someone will come along soon.

I think I'm gonna disconnect the battery for keeping her alive, I never use my laptop unplug.

YgrecPeKa do not disconnect the battery the adapter only works with the battery connected for the best performance have you optimized your windows and undervolted check here also check your battery wear with the battery report or battery bar pro software you might need a new battery if its more than 15% wear and aslo check your adapter with a voltmeter to see if its not faulty either because if it is the battery will kick in to aid the adapter automatically as it was designed for they work together you wont have any performance if you remove one of them

I have this problem on certain games where when plugged into AC the drain happens and after half an hours gaming the battery will drop 10-15% I contact acer support who booked the laptop to send it in. I haven't bothered though as I will likely be without for an extended period of time.. i've heard it's designed to do this but I don't think it should be that excessive.. if it is then you can't game on it all day which I thought thats what they were designed to do? If you can live without might be worth booking in with acer support and sending it off.. if they are willing to take mine after i explained the problem then surely they don't think it should be draining?
