Using mouse on startup/setup?

Hi, Just a quick question. Can I use a mouse instead of a keypad to setup a laptop? As the drivers may not have already been setup for the mouse. Thanks.

    If you are referring to the Bios screen, only those with pure Uefi base support mouse usage.
    In this case, the cursor is recognized automatically.

    Hi MaClane, I don't think it is the BIOS screen. Its just the start up, stating connection to the internet, customization settings for Windows, the region and the keyboard layout, signing into Microsoft (gmail-email address), creating a pin and so on. Is there a selection for English (Australia)? The laptop I am buying is touch screen, so maybe that will help!
