Hello,
I ordered an nvme m.2 ssd and it when it came I put it directly in my laptop. When I turned it on and checked the BIOS and the device manager in windows I'd dose not show up. My exact model is A315-41-R37Z

I'm afraid updating the BIOS won't do you any good regarding this, take a look at the comments of the video @egydiocoelho posted, the first one already states NVMe drives are not supported.

If the M.2 port in that laptop were wired implementing PCIe I'd say it'd be available from the get go. It's the same as with USB-C ports, while they all look the same internally some are more functional than others depending on the protocols they implement. For example, there are plenty of laptops that have USB-C ports implementing USB 3.1, but for now very little (and only found in expensive stuff) implement Thunderbolt 3.

Your M.2 port is wired to be a SATA one most likely, regardless of the firmware the machine is running.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if that model is wired for NVMe drives, it seems to be keyed correctly but if there's no electrical wiring for the protocol it may only support M.2 SATA drives.

Judging by the fact that the BIOS is not seeing it I'm guessing you're out of luck, let's see if an owner of your same model can tell you more about it; but if for some reason you have an M.2 SATA SSD at hand, give it a try.
