Currently running on single RAM - Kingston 16Gb / 2666. and no problem.
After i add on another RAM similar to the first one, the PC cannot power ON.
Any why to solve this problem?

    Hi @georgeNg
    1. Unplug all the cables, press and hold the power button for 30-40 sec ( doing this would erase static energy )
    2. re-connect the power plug and power on the unit. ( if issue resolved then re-connect all the other cables if No then try the steps below )
    3. try a different power socket
    4. try to switch cables with monitor power plug and computer power plug ( if the unit comes on then it could be an issue with power cable and if the issue is still not resolved.

You might have tried with the wrong voltage. You should be good with two 16GB DDR4 1.2V 2133 unbuffered DIMMs.

the RAM is Kingston 16GB DDR 1.2V 2666 , wheather it is unbuffered DIMMs i am not sure what this means. But the shop that sold me assured me it is compatible.
The PC works without problem with one stick 1x16GB, but cannot power ON when there are two sticks 2x16GB totalling 32GB.

Thanks guys for helping me look into this. I just cannot figure out what can be wrong.
the RAM model is bought were Kingston HX426C16FB3/16 x 2 sticks. (Which is within the max. 32GB ram allowed )
with only one stick it power ON and works fine. But with two sticks it cannot power ON.
other then that i only have two ext. HHD connect via USB.

I have tried all the above, it is the same. After i remove one stick of the 2 x 16GB RAM. It can power ON as normal. When i put back the second stick it does not power ON.

    Hello,

You can ask Kingston why it doesn't work, but I want to show you something first.

In the example below, Kingston says the Acer Predator Orion 5000 supports HyperX.

But when I look on Kingston's website for your XC-780, it makes no mention of your XC-780 supporting HyperX.....so I'm not sure why you installed HyperX.

You can ask Kingston which memory would be best for your XC-780.....Kingston HyperX enthusiast ram or Kingston mainstream JEDEC RAM.  You can also ask why it's not working.

Here's Kingston's customer support information.  Please let us know what they tell you.

Again, here's the Kingston RAM that Kingston recommends for your XC-780 (see link below).

Spec calls for 2133 memory, yet yours are 2666. Any chance that it the issue? Maybe they don't downclock in dual channel mode.

Yes JordenB pointed this out. Also Acer email me with the recommended RAMs.
But if  instal only one stick(2666) i have no problem . Machine turn On with just a tap on the power button.
But Kingston ask me to update the BIOS, which i am not familiar at doing so...

Remember that with one stick you drop out of dual channel mode. You should be able to run either 2133 or 2400. If the sticks don't match spec it'll drop to the lower speed of the two.

Yep, will see if  can buy one later with a 2400Mhz and test it out.
    Will update as when done.
