Hi
I have Acer Aspire 5742g with i5-580M, nvidia 610m, hm55 chipset and samsung 4gb 2Rx8 pc3-10600S-09-10-F2 RAM.
When i added another 4gb RAM (Goodram GR1333S364L9S/4G,Kingston KCP313SS8/4) windows 10 x64 didn't start and display showed blue screen with kernel problem, sometimes windows rebooted infinity, sometimes there were artifacts on screen and reboot, or showed "recovering the windows".
All tries doesn't work: old ram + kingston, old ram + goodram, only kingston, only goodram, put in another slot.
Old ram (Samsung) works correctly in both slots.
All of parameters of rams (latency, mhz, etc except for 2*8 banks) are the same.

Info from Aida:
DIMM3: Samsung M471B5273CH0-CH9
Module Size 4 GB (2 ranks, 8 banks)
Memory Speed DDR3-1333 (667 MHz)
Module Voltage 1.5 V

Please tell me what the RAM i can add to old that they work in dual, or simply work
Or
There are any ideas to solve this problem with windows?

PS System Configuration > Boot > Advanced Options > Maximum memory is unchecked.

If there aren't any RAM's that i can add to my old, please tell me complete 8gb ram solution (if possible in Poland).
Thanks in advance.

The mainboard is dual channel capable. Thus might be sensitive to unmatched pairs. Do any of the new 4GB modules work by itself in either slot? Jack E/NJ

    Good afternoon sashok !

What EXACT model of your laptop?
    This series supports a maximum of 8Gb RAM (having 2 slots being 4Gb per slot) DDR3 800 / 1066Mhz

These are the RAMs listed as tested and compatible with the model:

    Dear JackE,
Any of the new 4Gb modules dont work by itself in either slot.
I tried check all 2 slots by old RAM and both slots work correctly 100%.
    Thank you for your attention.

    Dear @MaClane,
What EXACT model of your laptop?
    On the underside of laptop:
    Aspire 5742 series
    MODEL NO: PEW 71
    Aspire 5742G-564G50Mnkk
    MFG Date: 2012/07/24
    S/N: NXR...
    SNID: 2300...

    This series supports a maximum of 8Gb RAM (having 2 slots being 4Gb per slot) DDR3 800 / 1066Mhz
You said that this series support ddr3 800/1066 Mhz, then why i have my Samsung old RAM DDR3 1333 Mhz and it has still worked correctly with my Windows?

    Thank you for attention.

Dual channel mainboards can sometimes be sensitive to the modules installed, I would order another matching Samsung M471B5273CH0-CH9 module. Price is about the same as the Kingston & GoodRam. Jack E/NJ

Yes, the 1333 frequency is supported by the chipset.

As earlier stated, dual channel capable mainboards and even some earlier regular Aspire DDR3L  mainboards, are quite sensitive to slight variations in modules specs. Accordingly, I suggest that you use one of the 4GB specifically recommended for this laptop, the Samsung M471B5273CH0-CH9 DDR3L, 1.5v, 1333MHz . These 4GB modules are still widely available are very reasonable prices. Several Euro & UK retailers like Amazon.de and amazon.de sell the Samsung 2x4GB 8GB kit for under €50. Jack E/NJ

    Dear @JackE,
Thank you so much for your help!
I just get a new Samsung RAM (used) identical with RAM which I had and new RAM works great.
At first I put new and old RAM’s together but laptop didn’t work so I put the new one and after few attempts laptop started. I used it for few minutes then I put both RAM’s and laptop turn on with 8gb RAM! :)
