I have a Acer Predator Helios 300 - PH315-52 model gaming laptop (The blue one, with blue backlight keyboard). It was working last December 30, 2019. Today after turning it on, the LED screen of the laptop and light of the logo predator at the back of it does not work at all. But when I plug it on a different monitor as extended screen through Windows 10, all were running good except the laptop screen and predator logo light of the laptop cover. What do I need to do, please help. I've checked the BIOS version and date, currently it is BIOS version 1.02 and the date was April 2019. The laptop was a new release last year of 2019.

Jemeel Have you tried ALT+F9 do they switch back on or not ? are you also talking about the keyboard ? if the backlit light stopped working and wont switch on via the usual keys (including back the logo led) i suggest you to contact acer support and send it back probably its faulty hardware or some internal loose cable

Regarding your black screen issue i suggest you to perform a battery power drain followed by a bios setup defaults check here (use the power button instead) press/hold for 30s+ and leave it to rest for 2/3h if after still nothing works contact acer support

xapim, I've tried to press/hold the power button for 15-30 sec. and after a few seconds, immediately turned on the laptop so it still does not solve the laptop screen pitch black issue.

I'll try the tip you have mentioned, after pressing/holding the power button for 30 sec. + and leave it to rest for 2-3 hours. Hope it would work if not, I will contact the support again.

Thank you for assisting me in this problem.

Jemeel if that doesnt work just contact acer support directly in order to get it fixed as i said might just even be some cable disconnected internally best case scenario or a hardware issue in either cases they would replace whats needed

Jemeel let us know how it went and if the issue persist you can also try to connect it to an external display and see if you can get into the bios to reset setup to defaults if not just contact acer support directly to get it sorted for repair

@Jemeel Hello, I'm currently experiencing this scenario. I would like to ask if you found the solution already. I'm currently stuck whether the problem is the LCD screen or the LCD cable. This happened while the laptop was still ON, then suddenly the screen went blank(like turned off, no light or something). Wish I could get your response as soon as possible. Thanks!
