Acer Nitro 5 CPU Fan Not Working - AN515-53-55G9

After booting up my Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-53-55G9) one day (I’ve owned it for about 8 months), I noticed that my CPU fan would stop spinning and fail to cool off my CPU while the NitroSense settings were set to “Max”. I took a closer look at the fan and after thoroughly cleaning it, the issue still persists. From what I can tell the bearings on the fan have worn out, allowing the fan to shift out of axis and create friction between the fan blades and the structure of the fan, causing it to stop and then fail to spin altogether. My laptop is a Recertified Acer Product (refurbished) and the warranty that was provided at the time of original manufacture has since expired. Because the heat sink appears to be one piece, I do not know if I need to purchase a replacement heat sink, a replacement fan, or a different, modular heat sink that would fit within my laptop. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Just replace the fan and repaste with Grizzly Kryonaut
Am I able to remove the individual fan from the existing heat sink? It looks like it’s glued in.

Sorry I amended my post above, it is a combined unit so it comes as one piece, fan and heatsink

At the date of his post his laptop was still under warranty, disassembling the fan unit while still under warranty would invalidate the warranty. If he was outside of warranty I would have suggested the same
