Hi

I just received my new predator 300 with Linux. When the menu is opened it only allows me to
1 start linux
2 create bootable media

I went to BIOS allowed booting with F12

But when I try to restart and boot from USB bios does not recognize anything than booting Linux installation. I can`t seem to find any information here as well

I created USB instalation media for win 10 with windows media creation tool but I cant seem to past pass bios since it can not recogize any booting media.

Any tips?

@mzlataric.. Hi! please folllow the steps which has been given below

    1. Go to bios
    2. Go to Boot Tab in bios screen
    3. set USB as first boot priority order then try to restart your computer and tap f12key
    4. If 3rd step didn't work go to bios again and under boot tab change the UEFI to legacy or set launch csm as always

That`s the whole problem, I know how to do that. You cant change priroity nor is there anything else to choose from besides linux boot. USB is not on the list

mzlataric u need to setup a supervisor password in the bios in order to disable secure boot to let you boot from any usb drive and after you finish remove the password never leave any password set in any of the bios settings

Wish it was that simple :-) Manual bios updates and windows bios updates can screw up bios passwords!

phatfreeza the reason its simple if you leave a pass and windows updates screw up your bios it will most probably get it locked and theres nothing you can do about it but having to send it back to acer to get it fixed you can thank microsoft for that brilliant job of forcing manufacturers to force bios updates via windows updates :)

Hey, this worked! Follow-up question though. How do I remove the password after those steps?
