so i made a 5GHz hotspot using my phone, and it was able to connect to it(windows 10)
but can't connect to the router while other devices can, and linux from the same device can,
    i'm running out of ideas
This might sound stupid but your wifi networks password, try changing it to a password where you on use letter and make it ALL CAPS.

Try this: on channel set to 36 and leave the bandwidth in auto! Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd0VOutPh5k
The video is in Portuguese! What he did was put in the device manager the band preference at 5ghz and changed to channel 36 on the router leaving the bandwidth on automatic and it worked!
Then it went into system tools and rebooted!
The network card is also a qca9377 and it updated the driver using the driverbooster!

while other laptops and phones can connect,I can only detect the network and not connect to it (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter) windows 10 x64
tried changing the driver version, that didn't work either.
    is it a hardware problem?

Hi guys, I had the same problem, and it solved by updating my QCA9377 adapter's driver with 12.0.0.832 version update.
