Game Crashes whenever i turn turbo mode on Helios 300 PH-1352

It's been a month After buying predator helios 300 ph13 52 i5 9th gen. I didn't use turbo mode till now( had exams and things so couldn't use the laptop much) so whenever i turn turbo mode on games like apex,metro exodus all crashes or doesn't go past the main menu but without turbo it works fine. Is it a hardware issue? Should i send the laptop to acer service centre? Please help

    There were other users with the same problem. It would be interesting for you to provide the exact model. example an515-51-75kz.

    This is a windows 1903 issue, if you are on 1903. Windows 10 has done some internal changes that crashes graphics card when undervolted or overclocked - I noticed this since i moved from 1809 to 1903. After moving to 1903 i had to uninstall my MSI Afterburner software (analogous to turbo mode on Predator Sense).

    @sri369 so what should i do to fix the problem? Should i install a older version of windows?

    That won't help much since end of life of versions is not more than 18 months pretty much. Just don't use the turbo mode - unfortunately this is the only fix at this time.

    @sri369 So it isn't a hardware problem right?..i thought of taking it to the service center to check it out. will they fix this? Cuz turbo mode increase alot of performance and reduces heating in helios.thanks for the response tho.

    Turbo mode increases performance, yes... but does not decrease temps - both are inversely proportional.

    Mine is a G3-572 - turbo/MSI all worked fine until the advent of Windows 1903. Since 1903 both started failing. So i didn't bother about it. I simply clean installed 1903 and my GPU goes to turbo speeds as needed, without even clicking on the turbo mode.

    You know turbo is the only way to increase gpu tdp from 80 to 90w
    Other ways like flash another vbios were not successful as far as I know

    Apparently windows 10 1903 and 1909 do not like that.

    Even after updating to windows 10 version 2004, the games are still crashing when turbo mode is enabled..any soln????

    Does the same problem occur when you use the nvidia drivers provided by Acer?

    Think since 1903 windows stopped supporting overclocking of GPU, hence the crashes. I personally feel it would be safe to assume that turbo is not functional in 1903 and beyond.

    Got same issue, Got my Predator Helios 300 last week and when i play games and use turbo it crashes. I am on Windows 1909 :(
    If turbo function does not work on 1903 and above as per sri369, then this feature is useless. :(
