Acer Nitro 5 Spin NP515-51 with FOUR external monitors

I successfully run 2 externals. One from USB-C and one from HDMI.

Can I run a 3rd or 4th monitor using the spare USB-A ports? I'd need to by a USB-HDMI adapter for that. Or USB-VGA/DSUB adapter./

If that does not work, can I run multiple monitors from the USB-C port with a docking station that has multiple HDMI out?

You can run additional mirrors from the C & HDMI with powered hubs. No to A ports. Jack E/NJ

Thank you. To clarify detail... can I also run additional extended desktop via the C with powered hub? Not just mirrored.

Also, I though I could not "split" the single HDMI out to two monitors via a hub. Am I wrong in that?

Yes, the graphics adapter supports DP1.2 so the C signal should be able to be split up with an mst hub. The HDMI port will not. Jack E/NJ

Hello Jack, thanks for the great help so far. Appreciated. However I am confused. I have the NP515-51 and here you discussed how USB-C can not output to HDMI? https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/573622/nitro-5-an515-42-usb-type-c-alternate-mode

Mine certainly does, at least to one tested monitor so far.

Would this work for me? https://plugable.com/products/ud-ultcdl/

My understanding is that it will allow me to output via my USB-C, but not take input charging (still need to use the standard plug, which is fine with me.)

Where did I discuss this? I was discussing the HDMI port can't be split, not the C port. Jack E/NJ

Accept my apologies. I was confused, and also made an error.

Anyhow, for the benefit of anyone else, this device works well. I run 3 externals monitors from it via USB-C on my laptop, and have one spare HDMI one my laptop for a 4th monitor. https://plugable.com/products/ud-ultcdl/
