Hi everyone,

For one year now I have a Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-52, and I am happy with it.
However I have a problem I'm struggling with for a while (a year...):
On the right side of the screen I have from time to time a band of about 7cm (sometimes more, sometimes less) that gets blurry: horizontal soft white lines appears on the display... as if it was a bad contact.

I tried almost all the solutions proposed on the forum, but I haven't found a really identical problem...

Here's what I did:
- updating graphical drivers
- updating the BIOS (it got better for a week and then reappeared)
- made a bunch of verification... still get these lines (more visible on a gray background)

I check in the BIOS, I think the problem is still visible...
I also plug an external display on the screen and the lines where only visible on the laptop an not on the external device.

I thank you in advance for any solution
;)

It seems like a hardware issue - could be a loose connection since you said it happens some times and not present all the time.

I would suggest to try checking with Acer warranty support and see if they can help you.

It's me (from the future  ;) ). The problem is exactly what you thought guys. This guy (photo in the link) is the problem. It is plugged upside down so the gravity does its job and unfortunately unplug it a little bit (which creates that fuse).
idk how to fix it properly, I try to apply some pressure on it, it does the job for a few minutes/hours/days, but inevitably come back within a few ...

Probably a bad cable or worst case one of the connectors itself either the mobo or the display
