hey

i got my helios 300 1660ti a month ago and everything is fine until i started playing apex and the cpu temps started to get high  even on max fans but the gpu is fine.
i don't know why the cpu gets so hot while i see my friends getting 80c on a 8th gen processor .
i tried minimizing the game's graphics but it didn't do anything

    Hi Mahmoudeid99
The heat issue has long since been recorded in these forums. Please take a look at the sticky thread for options: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/535036/faq-cpu-gpu-temps-fps-settings-other-info/p1.

As for worse, it is likely dust in the fans.

Mahmoudeid99 because its brand new laptop and comes pre undervolted you shouldnt go above 70/80 max on cpu 65/70 gpu on the most high demanding games/tasks send it back for a repaste asap

TECH_MAN the 2019 1660ti dont have heating issues only the 2107/18 models as with the 2019 models acer listened to some of the fixes found (thanks to one of the Ace members here that everyone probably knows who am i talking about) come pre undervolted by -125

My laptop(helios 300 2019(1660ti) is hitting 90 degree as well when playing Apex. Its like the undervolting that was done is no longer working. I updated my bios to latest one so far. It seems like broad issue

i ran a cpu stress test on 100% load and the cpu temp were 76 at max. but when i start playing apex legends it's just go up to 88c on max fans.
even after increasing the undervolting to -.160 still hits 88c on apex legends

That is exactly my issue as well , i think apex is not well optimized with acer helios, when stressing my cpu my highest was 81 and averaging 70,and on apex its a constant 90-92 degrees after only 8 minutes in the game, i called acer service center and they came and did a checkup- the fans were a bit dusty but nothing critical, after cleaning and booting the system back on the temp did not change !!!! , and the service center said that 92 is okay for this laptop!!!!!!!!!!!

i have the i5 rtx 2060 version , and after the cpu hits 92 my fps drops from 120 to 61 , i seriously don't know what to do to be honest..
