I tried a no. of games on this laptop received on 8th oct 19. the fps i received is somewhere around 100 in rainbow six siege irrespective of the settings at 1080p whereas it can achieve a 150fps as shown on youtube. Same is the case for other games where it is around some different no. in every game. what could be the possible reasons for this? Should i take it to service centre? PLEASE HELP!!!

Game settings are different from windows settings - that user may have optimized their windows into a lean mode, and this effects the gameplay a lot. My windows idle usage is under 2%.

Optimize your windows like disabling unused services and such. Bios might help, but not the way you expect it to.

RakiRaki never update you bios unless in the bios notes would say that it would solve the issue your facing and especially if you dont have any issues leave it as it it the bios updates will not do anything they are release to fix that particular issue stated in the notes only

I called the Acer PREDATOR support to explain my problem of bottleneck and he told me to update BIOS. It's still bottlenecking.

One major difference between the laptops that reviewer got and the one in some regions is the ram configuration, US models usually ships with 2 ram sticks in dual channel however here in India the laptop comes with a single 16GB stick. Which definitely has performance impact on some games

S7RIX youre absolutely correct in some cases with some games you need dual channel to take full advantage so i suggest for everyone who for ex has 1x16 either sell it and get 2x8 or get another 16 sodimm to match it for those with only a single 8gb get another 8gb to match the one you have and always same clock/CL/size preferably brand bare in mind these days 8gb its not enough 16 minimum :)

    256GB SSD + 1TB HDD

yeah the ram could be a thing but what my concern is if i change to lower graphics still the fps is not increasing or decreasing 😅
it's not that I'm unhappy with the fps but the performance is not increasing or decreasing with any of the tweaks

Open predator Sense or any plotting software, and play a game for a while to plot the CPU and GPU utilization and temp graphs. That could give more insights.

    CPU utilisation is always 90+
    GPU is about 60

    CPU temps around 88
and with max fans about 82
    GPU temps are in 60s
