Tell me how to make the main graphics card Radeon 540X on Acer Swift 3 on Rizen 5 3500U with Radeon 540X, in games in 9 out of 10 the weak graphics card of the Vega 8 processor works, AMD/ATI drivers do not help.

    Hi kirill_stavropol

it will set the default graphics processor to your nvidia card, so if your laptop is not plugged in, it will drain the battery a lot faster. if you're using your laptop on battery a lot, i'd suggest opening the nvidia control panel, clicking on the 'desktop' menu at the top of the window and checking the 'add "run with graphics processor" tocontext menu' option.

you can then right click on a games executable and select the graphics processor you would like to use for this game.

that way you can choose to use your nvidia card only for the games that require it and avoid draining your battery when not playing games.

    Smile :)

    Hi

Please find the details to disable the integrated display card..

Press "Windows-R" to open the "Run" tool, type "devmgmt.msc" into the box and then click "OK." Double-click the "Display Adapters" category in the Device Manager window to display its contents. Right-click the graphics device labeled "Onboard" or "Integrated" and select "Disable

    a.     Click on Start, and then click on Run.

    b.    Type “devmgmt.msc” without quotes, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.

    a.     Expand Display Adapters.

    b.    Check if you are able to see both the graphics card.

    c.     You may right click on the graphics card and click on Disable.

Step 2 : Disable the integrated (weaker) display adapter in the BIOS

Again, each BIOS has different settings and you will have to go over all the options and enter every sub-menu until you find the option Primary Graphics Adapter. Here you want to set the IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor) to the lowest priority and your PCIE slot to the highest priority. Once you’re done, accept all changes, exit BIOS and restart the device.

    Step 3

All strong graphics cards come with a control center when installed. It will usually be accessible through the right-click context menu when you click on desktop. In the case of NVIDIA, the option is called NVIDIA Control Panel.

Open it and select the Manage 3D Settings option.

Program Settings tab will allow you to choose the default display adapter for any program. Click Add, find the .exe file of the program you want to use with NVIDIA display adapter and click OK. If you want to make NVIDIA default for every program, go to the Global Settings tab and the dropdown menu titled Preferred graphics processor. You will see the choice between “Integrated graphics” and your NVIDIA card. Click the NVIDIA name and close the NVIDIA Control Panel.

With Radeon cards, the same thing is called Catalyst Control Center. Open it, click Gaming and click 3D Application Settings. Here you will click Save, which will open the dialog to search for an .exe file. Find it, click OK, select it from the dropdown menu below and adjust any options you need. You can manage the settings in Application Profile section underneath Gaming.

I understand. I just want the games to use the discrete video card Radeon 540X. You inattentively read AMD Ryzen 3500U and Radeon 540X, not Nvidia, in this ultrabook. There would be Nvidia and Intel, I would hardly write to a message on this forum. AMD, as they were unable to do drivers 20 years ago, still still do not know how. :=(((((((

Moderators do not read questions at all. You write Acer Swift 3 Ultrabook with Ryzen 3500U processor and video card with Radeon 540X graphics card. And they in response offer a solution for Nvidia and Intel.:=((((((((((
