I cant seem to find any way to switch these two SSDs out of their RAID0 configuration. There does not seem to be any option for it in BIOS. I'm hoping someone here knows how to swicth a Predator Triton 700's SSDs into an AHCI configuration.

    Hi all,

Unfortunately, theirs no option in the BIOS to change it to AHCI configuration.

We apologized for any inconveniences this may cause.

I'm having the same problem. I recently managed to delete the existing raid0 configuration and installed Windows on one of the drives. However, BIOS still reports that the drives are in "RAID" mode, and neither of the drives is visible on Linux (booted from USB). (The messages I get from dmesg are "Found 2 remapped NVMe devices." and "Switch your BIOS from RAID to AHCI mode to use them." ) Any actual help how to do the switch would be appreciated.

Gosh! I feel lucky here. I was all set to go for RAID configured laptop, but switched to non raid one since I felt raid was an overkill for a laptop. Saved by a whisker...

I am curious. Why wouldn't you want to use the raid 0 configuration? I am not against your choice of course, i am just curious about the reasoning behind your preference.

Thanks if you will answer, since i have the same machine and find nothing wrong with raid 0.

I have predator triton 700 laptop w/512GB PCIe SSD. In order to experience the raid 0 configuration, could I just buy another liteon ca1-8D51 PCIe ssd and install it into my 2nd slot. Is this feasible? Will this work? this way I would be reading/writing

i tried swapping the 512GB PCIe with (2) WD black gaming nvme sn750 1TB. the sn750 were not recognized - raid 0 configuration would not allow to recognize the new sn750s. Now I want to get another 512GB PCIe to install and see if the system would recognize both SSD?? Any suggestions and where to purchase liteon ca1-8D512 ssd?

judojack1 raid 0 will only work with 2 drives same size and preferably same type/brand same as for ex dual channel memory anyway i wont recommend raid 0 in any way if one of the drives fail you will loose the complete raid array and all data on both drives but its up to you regarding the drive youre looking for if its the stock drive its going to be hard to find as the stock drives are manufactured especially for the manufacturers only to use on the devices and to provide on warranty repair they are not available to purchase anywhere only probably second hand from someone who upgraded to a larger one and would want to sell the stock i would try ebay probably your best bet but dont expect to find a brand new one :)

walk me through this option: please advise & i am new at this:
    1. buy a samsung 512GB Pro SSD  & install it in the spare slot. understand the samsung supports raid 0
    2. Leave the liteon CA1-8D512 SSD in place
    3. create factory default backup via acer care app - i have the acer usb sys recovery drive - win 10 home & upgraded to win 10 pro product key
    4. download intel  irst driver
    5. download all drivers/apps from acer support - predator 700 triton
    6. reload windows 10 - should recognize a 1TB volume
