Hi,
I am trying to install Ubuntu 18.04 in my Acer Swift 3 Sf314-55G but I can only See Windows boot manager in my boot Screen and it is not showing bootable usb disk in boot priority menu.
Please Suggest how would i install Ubuntu in my laptop?
Thanks in Advance.  Configurations: 512 SSD i5 8GB RAM

in the bios set a supervisor/admin password - this will allow you to enable the F12 boot option (without a p/w, it's greyed out).  Save and exit then tap away on F12 on boot (with the bootable usb drive already plugged in).  (Might have to disable secure boot too)

Also, use rufus to create your Ubuntu USB with rufus settings GPT, UEFI (non-CSM), FAT32

    Hi Gawain,
    Thanks  for the reply
I did set supervisor password, enable f12 boot menu and also disabled secure boot.
I am not able to see my bootable pen drive in boot menu even though i plugged in, it is only showing Windows boot manager in boot menu.
The same usb drive created using unetbootin and it is working in my old laptop when it is plugged
    Please Find the attached snapshots

Just boot into windows and open the usb drive( as you normally open a file) that contain ubuntu.and then power off and start the process, you will get that

Of course it works fine on your old laptop with a legacy BIOS.  Your sf314-55g doesn't have a legacy BIOS like your old laptop.  It has a UEFI....hence the reason why I gave Rufus instructions so you can boot an Ubuntu USB.

Download the 64 bit Ubuntu iso and use Rufus to create USB with aforementioned Rufus settings.
