Acer Predator G-Sync : Bug

Hello everyone

 I have a little problem that bothers me, I'm afraid my Acer Predator (XB271Hbmiprz) screen is defective (not knowing more than that), I cross my fingers that it's the pilot who's causing it. I've had this for some time now, I'll explain.

 I am on my desktop, in Normal mode (G-Sync is disabled). When I decide to activate G-Sync, the screen flashes, I think it is activated but when I look in the menu of my screen, I realize that I am still in Normal mode as if it was not activated. So, if I start a game, I switch from Normal to G-Sync and every time I switch between the Desktop and the game (or switch to or leave the Full Screen mode of a YouTube video), I have my screen blinking for a second indicating that it alternates between Normal and G-Sync mode. Sometimes I get in the game, G-Sync is activated and I decide to increase or decrease the sound, I have the volume bar that appears on the screen and just that, it makes the screen blink. This means that when the volume bar appears, G-Sync mutes to be in Normal mode and once the bar disappears, the screen flashes again to switch from Normal to G-Sync. The only solution to prevent this flashing is to restart the PC.

 I've had my screen for two years and at the very beginning, I didn't have to restart my PC every time I turned on or off G-Sync. And that's when I have another more or less similar problem.

 When I am in G-Sync mode constantly activated (so I have previously restarted my PC so that it is always active on the desktop as well as in game), I start Overwatch or Assassin's Creed Odyssey and between the moment I switch from the desktop to the game, I have a blinking of one second. Out of curiosity, I did the test again by leaving the screen menu on the screen to see what was going on and then I see that the screen goes from G-Sync to Normal (as if G-Sync was cutting itself off) then returns to G-Sync mode. So I'm on the desktop in G-Sync -> For a second, the screen is black and blinking, I'm in Normal mode -> The next second, I'm in my game menu, which has blinked again to go back to G-Sync mode. The same thing happens when I return to my Desktop: I quit the game in G-Sync -> Black screen in Normal mode -> Return to Desktop that flashes and returns to G-Sync mode.

 My question is very simple: Why do I have these two problems?

 Is it a Nvidia driver problem (I am up to date and I do a clean installation every time)? Is it the G-Sync chip on my display that became defective after two years of good service?

 In advance, I thank you for the help you can give me. I really hope to put an end to all this.

    It's the screen resolution change that happens when you switch from one to the other. I hope that NVIDIA can eventually fix it, but it's just as likely it'll be the game developers that will come up with a workaround. Just as when you (for instance) change from a 4K desktop to a 1080P game, you get a bit of blank while everything changes to the new settings. Pretty much any monitor will give you that little bit of blip during the change.

    thank you for your answer.

    When I start a game, I leave the screen menu to see how it changes from G-Sync Mode to Normal Mode to return to G-Sync Mode and I never see my screen changing resolution.

    And that doesn't explain why I have to restart my PC to keep G-Sync running constantly.
