So i was trying out the new Ghost Recon Breakpoint beta at around 60 fps, and my pc manages to get there. But as Im playing i get performance drops and constant van vibrations that can be felt and heard. My temp high was a 92C, and my idle temps range from 45-60 with the auto fan on. And while less intense games can be played no problem, i happen to get random stutters that i never got when i first got this PC(ingame and outgame like on chrome), and sometimes constant micro stutters during games. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Did you already do a stresstest with your laptop and watch how temps behave and how much it throttles? Throttling is quite common with your machine. If you want to keep the temps at a better range, maybe repasting would be an option, depending on warranty seals and your level of comfort.

Also: Can you tell us, what happens with CPU/ GPU clocks while the stuttering appears? Are there any background applications that try to update anything?

Hi,Good Morning! Kindly check the temperature information below.
Predator products are engineered to withstand higher operating temperatures than traditional notebooks. These systems include features that help with cooling and heat dispersion. The CPU and GPU are designed to handle temperature spikes in excess of 98 degrees Celsius without causing damage to the components. It is common for PC temperatures to spike temporarily during heavy gaming or graphic usage. If the system encounters excessive temperatures that could damage the hardware, it will automatically shut down to protect the components from becoming damaged.
If in case, the temperature is more than 98 degrees, and if you feel that the unit is hot, kindly click the link below, choose your location and contact the Acer Support in your location. I hope it is helpful!

Kindly click "YES" to "Did this answer the question" if my answer helped you!
Thank you and have a Blessed Day  :3

Thanks for the reply, no i haven't done any stress tests but its always been an issue if i dont cap the fps for most games, but the poor performance is most likely a culprit from high temps as winter air makes most games run great but the room i play in is usually around 70 f. The performance drops are somewhat random and go from 60fps to 10-15 fps for 5-10 seconds then back to normal. When i first got my PC it had an idle temp of 29-38, but now its around 39-50ish, i usually clean the fans once a month with air duster, so it might be something else. Breakpoint is also a very intensive game and pretty unoptimized so not a great example of how most games play, as witcher 3 usually plays around 80sh C when at 70ish fps max settings, and no performance drops during gameplay. But i have noticed that almost a year later coming back to witcher, when loading assets the game will do frame freeze stutters that never happened when the PC was new. Also not many background programs other than antimalware from windows defender. Again thanks for the reply

Stress tests on the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility had temps around 60C but constant Power limit throttling for both CPU and Memory tests
