What SSD works with my laptop?

I have an Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G-58VH model laptop, and the HDD is going through some errors. So my idea is to buy a M.2 SSD so I can move the files I want from my dangerous HDD to it easily. I'm not thinking of cloning the whole drive because I want a fresh start with the essential stuff. (The warranty is already void, no recovery partition cloning stuff needed.) What I wonder (after all incoherent answers found on internet) is what connector does my laptop's board support for the M.2? Will both PCIe and SATA M.2 SSDs work?
Thank you beforehand.
