Help Installing SSD into Acer Aspire V3-771G 9809

I have purchased an Acer Apsire V3-771G 9809 within the last 3 months and after reading around and finding a good deal, I have also purchased an extra HD Tray and a OCZ Vector 128GB SSD.

I would like, within the next month, to install this SSD and have my operating system and maybe 1 - 2 games on the SSD and use the standard 1TB 5400rpm Drive for storage and saving backups, plus other games that are not as intense.

I know that I still need to get screws for the tray, but aside from that what would I need? and is this advisable?

I believe I would either have to utilize a 3rd party imaging program to movethe OS or to purchase a new copy of Win 7 or 8 (to be decided if that is the case).  Comments on anything are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have personally done this mod on my v3-771g and it worked great! the only pitfalls i see are 1) the ssd you bought is a great drive, but smaller than i'd recommend. these drives slow down significantly when more than half full. what ever you do, dont let the drive get more than half full! 2) make absolutely sure your recovery disks work or you will be out of luck. as far as i know, you cant clone windows 8 machines. Acer is known for recovery disks that NEVER work....

    Good luck and enjoy!

So, is that a vote for installing a new verions of whichever OS, or should I just add the SSD as a secondary drive and run only my games from it.  The extra 10 - 20 seconds for the computer to boot really couldn't matter less to me.

Also what size screws work for the tray?

I'd still use the ssd for the boot drive and yes, i would install a new retail OS. I'd avoid windows 8 like the plague. i would use the other drive for swap file and maybe program files, and possibly my user profile.
