I have an Acer K242HL Monitor and rarely it himself turns off then turn on,weird somehow... Everything is in order with the monitor, nothing broke and did not fall but sometimes it automatically blinks,i dont understand why it happens. Does this monitor issue or by system? Im on windows 8.1 pro 64bit,videocard from Asus 900 series.If somebody know of this weird blinking of the monitor i would like to know what exactly it come from? Now it constantly himself turns off then turns on while playing game,watching movie,etc. Very annoying,seems like i bought substandard product....

Please perform a simple power reset. Power Off the monitor, disconnect the video and power cables, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, Reconnect the cables and check the monitor.
If the issue persists, please contact Acer support in your region and check for option to resolve the issue.

Hi, sorry to hear it. Kindly try to do the Power On Self Test by following the below steps.
1) Turn off the monitor and unplug all the cables from the monitor.
2) Press and hold the Power Button for 30 secs with all the cables unplugged.
3) Plug the cables back and turn on the monitor and check.

Your advices dosen't helped,it still blinking monitor himself goes to black screen for few second and after that again goes and over,over. I guess need switch to another monitor not this brand. I wanted to stay with this monitor but sadly that this issue disappointing0

Yes,i know how to plug cable properly. Yeah, you can get those symptoms if there's a loose cable between the computer and monitor, or if the graphics card is trying to change resolutions. Any loss of signal causes the monitor to retry each input port to find something it can use, and that give a short blank screen.

Now this monitor is getting worse than before.It often goes to black screen for few second and 2-3 more time.When i playing game it's very interferes... So how can i fix this annoying thing?0
