Hello!

So I have this Acer Predator Helios 300, still quite recently bought, and the mic is crystal clear! But whenever I start a game it becomes extremely terrible. Sometimes its static, sometimes "Jet Engine" and sometimes its just very soft. But when i exit the game window, the mic becomes crystal clear. This issue did not happen until just 2 weeks ago. I have updated my drivers and this problem still persists. I hope that some of you can help me out on this situation. If you require more info on my issue I can type it down below

Open ControlPanel. Search 'power plan'. Click 'choose power plan' in left pane. Set plan to HiPerformance if not already. Also, the battery must be near 100% charged and charger plugged in ***BEFORE*** you start heavy gaming loads. Jack E/NJ

None of these are working. The problem still persists and i highly doubt its the mic itself or my internet connection

Shut the machine completely off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below. You have a choice of refreshing the machine to factory condition while trying to save your personal files and programs, or completely reset the machine to a factory fresh state by erasing everything that's on the HDD/SSD now. Open Control Panel. Search 'restore point'. Click 'create a restore point ' in the left pane. Click 'system restore ' button. Click 'next '. What do you see for automatic restore points? Post screenshot if possible. Jack E/NJ

Alright, i bought a new mic instead, definitely more clear but it always get worse only when i play games. Everything else is fine. Only when i play games, i emphasise the third time, only when in game the mic gets terrible for discord. i tried everything and i am sure it is not the problem of Discord. Its the laptop. Also i already tried to factory reset.

Your charger and/or battery don't seem to be up to the task of heavy gaming loads. What power rating is the charger? Open the elevated command prompt. Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in a browser. Compare design capacity with full charge capacity. Post screenshot if possible. Jack E/NJ
