!to know if I can change my system from a 64 type ,to a 32. Need to download my school program

 Hi, I'm trying to download a school program ,it wants my system type to be 32 ,I'm on 64 . Can I change this ? ,and how....thank you ,Lisa

    Even though your system has a 64 bit processor, they are designed to run all of the 32 bit software which is designed for Windows 32 bit systems.  Have you tried going ahead and installing the program?  What "error messages" if any does it generate?

    I'm trying to download my AutoCAD program and its says, doesn't except something about win34 gig....so I remember that the school said they want everything ran small...I'm going to Microsoft and putting in how to change from 64 to 32....thank you for your input.!

    There are conflicts between some old 32 bit software and 64 bit systems.

    Our company, although cutting edge in most areas, are sticking with 32 bit OS's due to software.

    I think your only choice is to install a 32 bit OS. If you feel like doing some homework (google) you could install a 2nt OS on the same computer and set it up as a dual (either or) boot.

    To clarify...Yes, you can switch from 64 bit to 32 bit...You only need change the operating system (win7 32bit instead of the 64bit you may be running..for example).
