My ACER laptop is now out of warranty for over a year, yet a customer support rep or agent just helped me so I thought it worth mentioning in case others may benefit from the experience.
Just had a short, productive chat with a support agent named Inginio. Was looking for some extra RAM for my Aspire E5-575G laptop, but couldn't see any listed at the ACER store webpage. While I was looking, a chat window popped up on the left side of the screen. I clicked on "Chat now" and in about 15 or 20 seconds someone named Inginio said hello-how-can-i-help. I typed in the laptop serial number and told him i want to add an 8GB RAM memory module. After waiting on hold briefly, he responded that the ACER store doesn't sell memory modules for my model. He also told me the name of their partner supplier and the website address. Beyond that, he checked and told me the exact make and model number of my existing memory module. That is very, very helpful!. I don't need to unscrew the bottom panel of the laptop just to check which memory to search for and that's very convenient, indeed. In my particular configuration of Aspire E5-575G, the factory installed RAM is a single 8GB module by Kingston. Anyway, he gave me the info needed, so it was a good experience.
