My acer iconia b1 screen is not responding

In December or January, I don't have the receipt in front of me just now. I've been happy with it up until this past week and and a half when I noticed all of a sudden when touching the screen particularly the top half when in portrait mode that the screen doesn't respond particularly when using the keyboard, when in landscape mode it responds but not always again when typing then I have to turn it portrait mode again. Sometimes holding it at an angle it performs better than other times. I've done a factory reset same issue, I've reset it a couple of times, same issue. I don't understand why this is happening, and what should I do. Do I take it back to the shop where I purchased it in the first instance and ask for a replacement or is there something else I can do to resolve this issue which support can advise on?

I had exactly the same issue, it's caused by the ribon cable from the digitizer backing out, the lock tab that holds the cable in seems a bit weak, i locked mine in place with a couple of dabs of RTV.
