I tried to UPDATE my acer Desktop to Windows 10, Build 1903, the install went FINE, NO issues or compatibility issues(according to the Windows Update service)

However I continue to Receive a Blue Screen, with a Stop Code:  IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

MICROSOFT has indicated, that it could be a Hardware issue & provided a Website to where it indicated which Systems that are able to Handle the 1903 UPDATE, However acer was NOT Listed.
Therefore acer is NOT or has NOT provided ANY Updates for Users, like MYSELF, so that WE can get this NEWEST Build.

WHY??
and Where or When will acer, catch up???

I use iOBit Malware Fighter software for Anti-virus
However that is NOT the Cause, MICROSOFT determined this.
When I did a Clean install of Windows 10, version 1903, and NO other software was installed I still got the Blue Screen error.

MICROSOFT did notice that my BIOS are Outdated, from 2016-2017 & could be the cause(basically they are Fishing....as they can't identify what the cause is either), BUT, I can't Find, if it exists ANY NEW BIOS for my System & can't afford to PAY for Support from acer either.

acer, should provide, UPDATED Files for their Products, because currently, ALL the Available Drivers etc, are from 2016, useless.

as Mentioned before, MICROSOFT gave ME a Website to let me know which PC Manufacturers are READY for Windows 10, version 1809/1903.

In that Listing, acer is NOT even mentioned.
YET, I am Running, version 1809, so I don't know how accurate this Listing is.
There are NO issues, whatsoever using 1809, the issue ONLY appears when 1903 is installed & again as I mentioned MICROSOFT can't Correctly Identify the cause for the Blue Screen error.

When I bought the PC, it was version 1709

Every Windows 10, Build from there on, 1803, 1809 etc, installed & NO issues were noticed

Would anyone know, IF, there is a Compatibility Checker Tool, for Windows 10, to Check your System for ANY compatibility issues??  MICROSOFT says there is NO such tool

You can either wait till the next major update in the fall. Or you can try a few of the freeware driver tools like iobit's DriverBooster or some of the others to try to get 1903 to behave. And despite, Microsoft's 'determination', uninstall don't just disable iobit's malware. Not really needed with Defender, MSRT and an occasional scan with Stinger if you don't trust Microsoft's stuff that much.

If it were mine, I'd block 1903 and see if the fall update sticks. 1809 is good for another year of extended updates anyway. Jack E/NJ

Okay.  Thankyou for the Help & Advice

I have "BLOCKED" 1903 from Installing on my System, as you said, 1809 is still GOOD & I will leave it, as it is.
Driver Booster, I have & I have Scanned but NO results.  Malware Fighter, I uninstall before I tried the UPDATE, currently I have it Running for Protection etc.

I will hold off, until the Fall, Hopefully MICROSOFT will have some sort of FIX.

Would you know if there is a Compatibility Checker out there, somewhere, to Check if and/or what Issues could there be??

I think impractical for Win10 mainly due to its rapid-fire major update release cycle. Averaging one every 6-8 months. The major updates seem to make more aggressive and more frequent changes than the old service pack tweaks did under earlier Windows versions. Under the old Windows numbering conventions, we'd probably be up to Windows19 by now with the 1903 release. Even more recently-sold machines with factory-certified 1809 or 1803 pre-installations are having trouble with 1903. As I've said to others on this forum, this Win10 update nonsense is what I consider an open window of opportunity for an alternate OS to break the PC GUI status quo. My own ACER & HP Win10  machines now default boot to LinuxMint. They're both set up with virtually the same look, feel and function of arguably the last half-way decent Windows version, Win7.
