I WILL NEVER CONSIDER TO BUY AGAIN AN acer.
ITS TOO BAD, UNLESS IT CAN BE FIXED,

but from the forum, I can see that I am not alone.

Generally device gets slower based on the software and hardware specifications. Could you share us the model number of your device Ex: E5-571-XXXX

In the meanwhile here are a few tips that you can check.

firstly uninstall unwanted software and make sure the device has only 1 anti-virus. Alternatively make sure the windows is up to date.

I know the Nitro an515-42 will get stuck in .38 ghz mode unless you plug in.  It seems to be a bios bug, but the bios hasn't been updated in ages.

There is no "bug" at all.
The architecture of building laptops and desktops.
Both processor and GPU only achieve maximum clcok performance when the device is using the high performance power plan and plugged into the power outlet.

Thanks for getting back, well I got very frustrated.
I got only one anti-virus program, run Window 10 and update frequently.
I got an Acer ES1-522-443P model. And from the beginning it was so slow, I can't work, because every transaction takes so much time.
I was contemplating to buy a memory ram 32, I checked out some youtube clip, how to get it done.
    Will, this solve my problem?

How can I amend my posting? I can't see any editing icon.
thanks very much for your advise

    Are your drivers properly updated?
Is the appliance plugged into the power outlet?
Are you using the Windows power plan for High Performance?
    How are the temperatures?
What version of Windows, 1803 or 1809 or 1903?
Do you only run those problems on the battery or plugged in as well?

Did you check in Task Manager if the disk is 100% misuse?
