I have the Acer Predator Helios 500 with the i9 CPU (PH517-51-98Y7). Everything runs really well, but I do see spikes up to ~94C while playing Battlefield 5. It will sit about 80-85C normally while playing this game, but the spikes go into the 90's. Is this normal? I have an offset of -.1406 on both the CPU core and cache. I've tried both high performance power mode and balanced.

Temperature spikes are completely normal. As long as it doesnt maintain that temp for extended periods of time. 80-85°c is about what my laptop runs BF5 at as well. Next time you play post a picture of your pred sense afterwards.

This is with the fan set to "Auto", with "CoolBoost" on.

Nothing? Has to be one of the most unresponsive forums that I have encountered. Will probably go with another company next time.

Almost a month and no response? Great community and company... Look like I won't be buying Acer again because of the lack of support.

@STOPchris instead of keep complaining about no one answering to your thread and saying the company is no good why not search yourself instead (this mainly one of the things that sometimes that makes me angry as me and the other 99% of the users here are just as voluntaries we do not work for acer in any way we only try to help the best way we can with the free time we have available because yes we also have our own daily jobs and myself for ex i am not replying to a thread about the same issue as 1000's already here that have been already answered) again bare in mind that this community is mainly (99%) run by users not acer staff they are around to manage it but not at all time and regarding the time of response no one is obligated to respond to threads/issues that already have been answered loads of times around this forum its just a case of doing a search as i said above instead or opening new ones about the same issues

Or, maybe NOT assume that I did not already search the forums. "this mainly one of the things that sometimes that makes me angry" when people assume you didn't search the forums  already...

If you had searched properly you would already had found the solution to your issues as it was solved in loads of threads so again i state to what i had said above because it seems that searching properly its very time consuming and some ppl its just not up to it and probably most of the users (helpers) in this community would agree with my statement and that keep replying to the same issue (that was already solved and there are solutions for it around) over and over again its also exhausting but hey who am i after all its just my opinion and i only reply to what i want no one forces me because this community its not acer support (directly) user ( with more experience) driven

Alright, I am NOT going to argue with you. If you don't have anything to add, get out of my thread.

Im not here to argue with anyone either the only thing i have to add its to recommend  to repaste with kryonaut or similar because the i9 is a powerful cpu and generates a lot of heat but check your warranty first it might void if you do it yourself
