Hello, I have a simple question. I have an Acer Nitro 5 with SKU AN515-52 549M and planning to buy a M2 NVMe SSD for it because the 1TB HDD is really slow.
And my first choice is Adata sx8200 512GB because of its price to performance, but I'm wondering does my Acer SKU compatible with that M2 SSD?

    Good Morning Eucly !

This model has support for SSD with slot M.2 2280 Sata 3 or PCIe NVMe Gen3x2

The bandwidth would be reduced to 2 lanes.
But the ideal is to get a Gen3x2

Sorry if this is a dumb question because I'm really new in this.
But does that mean the SSD speed will be reduced to half because my motherboard only support 2 lanes?

    Exactly.
The lanes delimit the final transfer band.
In case it is generation 3 with 2 transfer lanes.
