I just got the computer the other day, and have had problems with the pen since buying. I bought it second-hand, so didn't expect everything to work "perfectly" but was definitely looking forward to using the pen to draw some. When I pull up the sketchpad, last night right after I changed the battery out, it worked for a whole 5 minutes in the upper left hand corner of the screen then just stopped. Now it won't do anything. Is there anyway to get it to connect back to the computer?

The Elan stylus pen with part number NP.STY1A.009 is officially recommended for this model. Please check if you have the same.

Go to Device Manager, expand Human Interface devices, scroll down to HID-compliant pen and check the driver. Also you could check the settings for Pen and Windows ink, go to Start, settings, Devices and click Pen & Windows ink. .

Could you please go to Device manager, expand Human Interface Devices, scroll down to HID-Compliant touch pad, highlight and right click, click Properties, go to Power Management tab and if you see any box ticked, untick it(as shown in the snip below).

I did this, and it is still not recognizing the pen past a certain point on the screen. I have disabled the touch screen, enabled it, restarted the computer, and tried to do a calibration several times. It's just not recognizing the input from the pen. Is there anything else I can do?
