Hi All,

My S7 - 391 always faced this problem when I boot up. I need to press the “remove battery” sign at the back of my ultralbook. If this not being done then it wouldn't’t boot at all. I’m using windows 8 64 bit pro with avast internet securities installed. This problem happen very frequent (90%) every time when I turn on after my full shut down at the end of my office hour.

Anyone of you guys is facing this issues and what should I do to correct it back???? Please help…..

Regards,

Francis

I am not familiar with the issue you are reporting. Unfortunately, I don't have any good recommendations for trying to resolve this, other than completely restoring your system to factory settings using the instructions at http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26281. Try shutting down and booting back up before loading other software, to see if the problem is gone. If that does not resolve your issue, I would recommend you contact Acer support for your region to inquire about setting your unit up for service.

I guess I found what is causes this, I’m have a USB hub, micro HDMI and also a micro USB card plug into my S7 on my office desk. I try to eject the Micro USB and unplug all of this devices before shutdown and it seems working normal now. I have try this for two days already and I will monitor it and revert later.

    Hi All,

I know what causing this at last. This is because the USB charging feature on the first USB port (1st USB port from screen). If you shut down with USB drive plugged in and it can’t start normally, you need to press the battery reset button at the bottom of S7 in order to boot.

You need to turn the charging feature off by doing below (Win8):-

    1. Start “Acer USB Charge Manager” from Metro.
    2. Change the option in “Select option.... to Select Only When The Notebook Is Plugged In.
    3. Click “OK” and Close AUCM.

    I don’t get it anymore after this……..:0

    Case close!!
