UEFI/BIOS Password Reset

Hello,
I am trying to learn about UEFI/BIOS. I, unfortunately, have been locked out of my UEFI/BIOS settings. I must have misspelled my normal PW as everything I try is not working. After three attempts it displays an error message with a key.
Normally with a desktop, I can go in and use a jumper pin and or drain the CMOS battery. That may or may not be the case with this laptop. It is a E5-576G-5762. I am able to still boot into windows just can not access the BIOS. Before I give up and send my laptop to Acer and pay $100 to have them reset the password

I was hoping to
1. Find out if there is anything I can do on my end to fix this issue. Software or hardware (I do not mind opening and getting to the motherboard on this device, It is already out of warranty)
2. Understand what it is that Acer will do to reset the Administrator UEFI/BIOS password.

Is it something to do with a device to read the EEPROM?

Thank you in advance for any response

You risk bricking the machine. Send it to ACER to reset. Jack E/NJ

At this point I have spent so much time on this I generally an okay with that. I want to learn how to fix this.

I know that if the pw is saved in a EEROM then that's one thing .But if it's something I can fix I would like to. I'm trying to find a layout of the motherboard.

    Something I can't find from.Acer
