AN515-52 SATA HDD not recognized by Windows 10

Hello!, I have finally been able to make it work!. Here are the details on what I did that helped me overcome the issue:

1) The main problem is the Windows 10 image supplied with the Acer Nitro 5, it is mainly designed to work with the Optane module (IRST Windows 10 configuration image). The Acer Nitro supports other type of storage components but it is not plug and play. Making a clone of the current Windows image won't make the cut, since the optane module is synchronized with the HDD. (if you remove the optane module to replace the M.2 drive, this was my case, the system will become unstable).

NOTE: If you replace the HDD with an SSD, it will make the Optane useless since the point of this technology is to help the mechanical HDDs that are based on RPMs to appear faster.

2) I created a bootable USB drive based on the windows media creation tool. The USB was created from the Windows Acer image that comes with the laptop before making any hardware changes to the device.

3) When you select the clean installation of the device, at the beginning it will show you all the available storage devices and partitions that you can use to install Windows 10. Here is when I was able to select the drive and both the HDD and SSD where available. So there was no need to go back to the RST with Optane option since this will cause the system to become unstable since the M.2 port is expecting an Optane module. (this does not mean that it won't work but the installation of Windows 10 based on the image from the Acer Nitro performs the installation on the HDD).

4) On the storage device selection in Windows 10 detects the ports on the Acer Nitro where the HDD is port 0 and the SSD M.2 is port 1. (in the BIOS on the SATA port for the SSD is port 0 (M.2)  and the HDD is port 1, I was not able to understand why in the BIOS is different from what Windows detected, I would think and correct me if I'm wrong, this will have to be related to the bootable default options once the HDD is installed it becomes the highest default bootable option).

5) After the installation the incompatible state of the HDD was not a consideration anymore because Windows 10 image recognized the drive from the beginning.

6) I manually downloaded the drivers from the Acer page but not installed the IRST application.

I would really like to thank you for your support since I was able to determine that the drive was not detected due to the image of Windows 10 configuration.
