I have Predator helios PH 315-51 with i7 8750H 8GB RAM GTX 1050ti GPU.
I am unable to install ubuntu on this laptop, i tried 16.04 and 18.04 but when i try to setup the system hangs at the installation screen on 18.04 and on 16.04 the touchpad, wifi, bluetooth is not woking.
I tried to install 16.04 with external usb mouse. when i changed the grub to quiet splash acpi=off the touch pad was working only partially with no gesture support.
If anyone knows the solution please help me i need to install ubuntu currently using ubuntu on vbox but that lags i need to install it in a dual boot along with windows.

I have multiple other OS including this on vmware machine, and they are all fine. Maybe try installing using VMWare Player and see if that helps.

    Is secure boot on?
Is the install usb properly formatted for a uefi install?
Is the hard drive controller set in bios to RAID intel optane or ahci?

Typically with touch pad issues it's recommended to upgrade the kernel to 4.18 or later for full support, might also be needed for wifi and bluetooth depending on which chip you have.

Currently secure boot in on but during installation i disabled it.
    USB properly formatted for UEFI.
HDD Controller: SATA Mode RAID RST with optane.

If you really need to work with linux i really recommend going the easy way and run it on vmware like @sri369 suggested because dual booting its a bit complicated especially to not so much techie ppl  not saying it cant be done but its a hell of a headache in some cases u need pre loaded drivers etc
