Disabling onboard graphics from Aspire XC600

Hi! I'm gettin very frustrated getting my PCI-E display adapter ATI HD 6450 to work. I've searched all over internet for answer but no luck.

My problem is that when i first inserted HD 6450 then both the onboard graphics and new video card wasn't producing any picture. so to get picture on screen i need to completely remove ati card from pci-e slot and use the onboard one. I was able to bypass this installing ATI drivers forehand and now i get picture from ATI HD but only when windows is fully started. This is not ok becouse i'm going to install W7 and that can't be done without bios and post.

Removing ati video card from desktop allows me to get bios and there is onboard graphics controller option that is set to enabled by default. This setting can't be disabled becouse menu item is greyed and cursor jumps over it. There must be someway to disable onboard graphics but i don't know how.. Any ideas?

Have you disabled the onboard video in your BIOS?  It should be listed under Integrated Peripherals.

When I try to do this the option for disabling the onboard graphics is greyed out. How can I change it?

I have had exactly the same problem and had no joy.  Thought I might as well "bump" the thread.
