Any game Engine, like Unity and Unreal Engine 4 I install crashes on launch and that's pretty much it. I am running the exact same copy of windows on my PC and it runs well however, it doesnot on the laptop. I have tried to run it both on the CPU and GPU and it gives the same result.

Do you mean the machine locks up and you have to force the machine off by pressing and holding the power button? Or do you mean the games refuse to load or stall but can unloaded from memory with task manager? In either case, try uninstalling and re-installing the games. Jack E/NJ

Any non-Microsoft anti-virus/malware running in the background? Don't just disable, uninstall them. If none, what's total RAM, GPU & GPU usage at idle after booting? Jack E/NJ

No external anti-virus is running, just the Microsoft defender that's it and I have tried disabling it and running the software still the same problem.
The usage after booting.-

We need to try to focus on trying to load just one of the design programs you've tried. I think the rest will follow if we can successfully load just one. Which one do you want to choose? I'd probably pick Photoshop because it's probably the most widely used. But it's your choice. Jack E/NJ

What was the resolution to this? I am having the same problem and was pretty unhappy when I found this and nobody has a solution.
What happens is that when I launch any game using Unreal Engine 4, I get an Error Dialog and the game does not start.
Rebooting doesn't help.
I've checked that I am on the latest of all drivers and software.
No other games/engines have an issue.
Included DxDiag if anyone is wanting information.0 -

Hmmm? Where did you post this issue on https://forums.unrealengine.com/ ? I'd be interested in seeing some of the responses. Jack E/NJ

I submitted a bug to the new bug submission form at Unreal Engine. No idea if that is viewable anywhere. Still waiting for a response from anywhere.0

Can you download HWiNFO and run 'sensors'. Check if the available virtual memory(don't confuse with VRAM) and check how much you have left availble when you run these applications.Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
-Model number
-Part number(not required, but helpful)
-CPU
-GPU-Operating systemHelios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

So nobody knows what's wrong with the Unreal Engine? I've put in a ticket over at the UE support site, but so far, no response. Apparently, it's not supposed to work.0

The Predator is fine for older games for now. I'll toss it out in a few months and get a Dell if I still want the mobility. Won't give Acer another look after this pain.0 -
Hey folks, those of you on a laptop with both a INTEGRATED GPU and a GPU CARD by Nvidia or AMD etc.... try this.... Download the freeware DDU (Its perfectly safe, just google it to find ) and use it to uninstall ALL YOU GPU DRIVERS on every card on your pc, every version even older have to be wiped with DDU .THEN on your INTEGRATED GPU install a older driver NOT the LATEST DRIVERS (THIS IS CRUCIAL) . Then on your GPU you should be gaming on and using for everything go to the Nvidia or AMD web page not the WINDOWS STORE or the MANUFACTURER of your PC STORE and down load the latest drivers from there and install. This error appears to be in nature a DRIVER CONFLICT and you need to do a clean wipe of the GPU drivers with the DDU to solve before you reinstall as I posted above or it will not work .IF YOU HAVE A SINGLE GPU CARD , do everything above EXCEPT ofcourse pay no heed to anything that deals with a integrated or secondary GPU, just run DDU and then do the step abopve to install the GPUs latest driver...HOPE IT HELPS !2
