Hello.
My Nitro 5 (AN 515-53) is having this strange issue on the left-click side of the trackpad. Basically it's struggling to fully click, and when it does, it has a Crunchy and/or sticky feeling and sound.

Laptop was never dropped, and I haven't touched the trackpad from the inside of the laptop (Via disassembly, I mean).

Does anyone else have a similar issue? What can be done to fix it?

1.power drain: Just check the back of the unit, you can find a pin hole , unplug the charger and turn off the unit. now put a paper clip in the small pin hole and press and hold it for 30 sec.
2.BIOS default: After power drain is done, power on the unit, but as soon as you power on the unit keep pressing the F2 key so that it take you to BIOS page. Press F9 and press Enter than press F10 and press Enter. the unit will restart
3.try uninstalling the touch pad driver from device manager and restart the unit and check

Hello. Are you sure you're posting in the correct thread? My problem was the sticky trackpad (Not trying to be sarcastic here; correct me if I'm misunderstanding).

    Hi @GiorgiM

I can agree with your issue, my Nitro 5's touchpad is showing similar signs too, looks like a design flaw. However I am able to click it but it requires a bit more effort as compared to other laptop touchpads that I have used. If it is still in warranty, you may contact Acer support in your region and they will guide you better, maybe with a touchpad replacement, depends on them totally. It's not related to anything software related so there is no way to troubleshoot it further :)

@GiorgiM Have you resolved your issue? I currently have the same problem. It's been happening for months now. Mine has also never been dropped and it happened randomly. Its like it clicks twice and the right side does not do that. I was hoping you got it fixed. Thank you!

I had issues with my left side too, I solved it by going to Settings/Devices/Touchpad and increase the sensitivity from Medium to High, you should now be able to click by just tapping it on the left side, don’t even try to click it, just tap it. I think a Windows update had dropped it to medium
