I have an Acer Aspire R (R5-571TG-70TV) 15" with touchscreen, and I'd like to know if there is a stylus/pen that will work with this touchscreen?

(I did check and saw a post suggesting that there isn't a working solution with the Aspire AR, but as that poster said...if you can draw with a fingertip then surely there's something that will work. Maybe by now there is...hopefully.)

    Hi JTT,

Some Acer products support using an Active Stylus to increase touch precision and utilize features like pressure sensitive drawing. Please refer to the table below to see the part numbers of the active stylus supported on your product:

Note: The part number of each stylus is listed in the top row of the table below. Example: The stylus made by N-trig has the part number NP.STY1A.001.

I appreciate the effort, but I'm going to presume this is a polite "No!" since I gave the exact model laptop I have and it isn't in the entire list you showed.
Still, it's amazing to me that a "touchscreen" easily manipulated with a fingertip is impossible to manipulate with any pen or stylus. I can actually take a AAA battery and hold the flat - end to my screen and it will work to scroll the screen and select text (though it's not practical and almost impossible to work.) The + end doesn't seem to work, but I don't know if that's the charge or the size of the area touching the screen. However, the point is that there's something in the battery, like the fingertip, maybe the slight charge or capacitance that seems to be key to this. Maybe I'll have to invent something of my own, but surely someone out there has already done it.

All Acer R5-571 models do not have active stylus support (but they do support capacitive).
If you were wondering, as I was, why employees haven't answered this question (it has been asked elswhere), in the terms of service for this site it states that the website is meant to be "peer to peer."
Here is where I found the evidence (as well as pictured below) from an Acer response to a review of the R15 (R5-571):
    https://www.bestbuy.com/site/reviews/acer-aspire-r-15-2-in-1-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-256gb-solid-state-drive-steel-gray/6025413

All touchscreens support capacitive stylus pens, though you may have troubles finding one that works well with the R15.
Sorry that the reply probably didn't help much due to timing...
