Just purchased this one.  I have the latest i5-8400 processor that supports quick sync, but do not see anywhere in bios to activate iGPU . Everything I read on internet said to do this and download drivers for integrated Intel graphics, but there is no setting in bios to do this. Any ideas?

If you connect your monitor directly to the motherboard port the system will use the iGPU, you don't need the BIOS to activate it. If you connect it to the dedicated graphics card(if you have one) it will run from it, not the iGPU.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

I will not be adding a dedicated graphics card. I do  video encoding with Handbrake etc and had learned that if quick sync is supported by system then it can cut the time for encoding way down. The cpu is quick sync capable, but i do not think that I am able to take advantage of quick sync technology because it is not showing up as an encoding option.

I am not familiar with video encoding, but quicksync is not something that can be enabled or disabled in BIOS. It is a feature of the CPU and it is always enabled. Maybe you have to look if the software you are using isn't the problem.

Thanks Ven. I figured it out. You are right, I am able to use quick sync with handbrake and it does cut time in half. The info I was looking at on web was regarding those that had a dedicated gpu.
