I would like to know, can I upgrade my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52? I would want to buy an SSD and maybe 8 more gbs of ram. Can I? Is there an M2 slot? Which SSD would be compatible? I am looking for a 256gb one.
If you're shopping on Amazon or anywhere else you can verify a particular memory module is compatible by referencing the manufactures website assuming they have this feature.
As for an SSD, the AN515-52 ships in several configurations. To see exactly what you have you can verify in Windows 'System' app or reference the Acer website and enter your EXACT model number. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
So I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52 Specs: i5 8300h GTX 1050 8 GB of DDR4 Ram A 1TB HDD Could I add an SSD to it? And if, which one/which ones? Which do fit in there?
The is a m.2 slot where you can add a m.2 SATA or PCIe nvme SSD, you just gotta take off the entire bottom cover to get to it, it isnt hard, just remove all the screws and carefully unsnap all the snap tabs all the way around it.
Well, you could just buy intel optane memory of 16 gb and install in the m.2 slot which will boost your hard drive or you could just buy any ssd and replace it with your hdd. And, also you could just add another 128 or 256 gb m.2 ssd on it as well. The best solution would be either to buy a m.2 card or optane memory because if you replace your hardware you might lose your windows form there if you don't back it up properly. So yea.

If you dont know your exact model, use the model detection tool - https://global-download.acer.com/SupportFiles/Files/SNID/APP/SerialNumberDetectionTool.exe
This will show you exactly how your model shipped and whether it has an available M.2 port.
