It used to work fine before the Fall Creators Windows 10 update. Now, it does not work. It's just regular touchpad. I tried all types of ***** with drivers, but to no avail.

Hi,
Go to BIOS settings( Press F2 button as soon as you press Power button), go to Main tab and check whether the Touchpad is in Basic mode, if it is, switch to Advanced mode, save the settings and exit.

Hi i had a same problem and changed the setting of touch pad to advanced and then that didn't work, so i go to BIOS and press the F9 and F10 , but now i have a new problem!!0
-
the new problem is the error: no bootable device!
How can i back to previous setting?0 -
Go to BIOS again, press F9 and press F10 to save and exit, this will not change anything in BIOS, this only reset the original settings, no bootable device message may be due to something else.0

How can i change the setting to UIEF with no error?0 -
Hi,
You must have installed Windows in Legacy mode, you need to install Windows in UEFI mode.

And now how can i solve my problem with touch pad?0 -
Go to Device manager, expand Human Interface Devices and HID-compliant mouse, post the snip, also find out the driver version for HID-compliant mouse and the driver version for Synaptics/Elan driver under Human interface Devices
.

Hi,
Could you please uninstall one of the HID-compliant mouse under Mice and other pointing devices, right click and uninstall it, then reboot and see whether the touchpad works.

I did it but not working yet.0

So, now you have one HID- compliant mouse right? uninstall the driver for it, reboot and let Windows install the driver.0
